Import is a chain.
We hold every link.
HOPE CUAN SOLUTIONS finds your supplier, moves the cargo, stores it, and prepares the paperwork that lets it cross the border — one contract, one point of contact.
Three desks,
one file
Most importers run sourcing, freight and compliance through three different vendors, then spend their week translating between them. We run all three on the same file.
Sourcing & procurement
Procurement is where margin is won or lost. We find the factory, check that it can actually deliver, and negotiate terms — whether you are buying raw materials for a production line or finished goods for resale.
- Supplier search and vetting in global markets
- Capacity, financial standing and reputation checks
- Price negotiation and contract terms
- Incoming inspection and quality control
- Stock levels planned against your production schedule
Freight & warehousing
Routed for landed cost, not just freight rate.
- Sea FCL / LCL, air, inland trucking
- Consolidation, pick and pack, distribution
- Warehousing at origin and destination
Foreign trade advisory
The questions that decide whether a deal is profitable or merely busy.
- Import and export scheme design
- Tariff and non-tariff restriction analysis
- Settlement currency, banking and payment routes
The six links
Import trading is one continuous process: buying abroad, landing the goods, and selling them at home. Break it into pieces handled by different people and the gaps between them are where the cost appears.
Find the supplier
Identify the overseas company that actually makes what you need — and confirm it. Own production facilities, stable finances, competitive pricing, quality guarantees, location and standing in the industry.
Negotiate and contract
Delivery terms, price, lead times and order volumes, written into a contract that holds up when something goes wrong.
Pay the supplier
Funds transferred under the contract — through the banking route and the settlement currency that keep the money from evaporating in fees, conversion and blocked payments.
Move the cargo
From the export country to the import country by sea, air or road, with customs clearance and the full document set filed at both ends.
Store the goods
Warehousing while the cargo waits for its next move: consolidation, splitting, labelling, distribution.
Sell into the market
Goods released to end buyers or distributors, with the documentation behind them in order.
You can hand us the whole chain, or the two links your own team can’t cover.
Tell us where you’re stuckQuestions worth
answering first
Our specialists work in customs and tax law daily. Bring these to us before the contract is signed, not after the container is on the water.
Which bank and which currency should we settle this contract in?
How do we avoid losing money on payments to foreign counterparties?
Which documents does this particular foreign trade deal require?
Which duties, taxes and mandatory payments will the contract trigger?
Which currency-control rules apply to us, and what do they oblige us to file?
What tariff and non-tariff restrictions cover this HS code?
The acronyms
you’ll meet
Indonesian import compliance has its own vocabulary. Here is the short version — we handle the long one.
NIB
Business Identification Number — the single registration number that identifies a company and carries its import rights.
API-U / API-P
Importer identification: API-U for goods bought for resale, API-P for goods a company imports for its own production.
LARTAS
The restricted and prohibited goods list. Whether your HS code sits on it decides which permits you need before shipping.
PIB / PEB
The import and export customs declarations filed with Bea Cukai for every consignment.
SNI
Indonesian National Standard. Certain product groups cannot clear customs without certification.
PLB
Bonded logistics centre — goods stored with duty deferred until they are released into the domestic market.
Send us the
shipment
Tell us what you’re buying, where from and roughly how much of it. You’ll get a routing option and an indicative landed cost, not a brochure.
